Mixing oranges with apples is never a good thing. The lunar radius used by USNO is incorrect and only this already increases the real duration.

The data provided by NASA is more accurate and the parameters used to compute those values are clearly stated on the website. I do not know which data is more "authoritative" and correct, hence I have put this here. The locations specified are not very far apart, but 4 seconds is a relatively large discrepancy, given the precision with which the durations are given. However this differs from the information given by the Astronomical Applications Department at The United States Naval Observatory which gives the greatest duration as 2m 44.3s at 37☃8′12″N 89☁5′24″W / 37.63667°N 89.25667°W / 37.63667 -89.25667 (see ).
